What: 

Susan Barr-Toman was born and raised in Philadelphia. Her debut novel, "When Love was Clean Underwear", is set in the early 1990's. Its' about a girl named Lucy who must face the world on her own after her domineering mother has forced her, with step-by-step instructions, to assist in her suicide. This reading will be part of the Writers and the Process Series, hosted by writer Minter Krotzer.
