Chestnut Hill Yoga Brings Calm to the Ave.

By Aimee Theriault, HillontheAvenue

With a full schedule of yoga classes that cater to just about every individual need in the community, Bobbi Tighe of Chestnut Hill Yoga will work to create a healthier, more balanced Chestnut Hill one student at a time. Classes at her studio, located at 8524 Germantown Avenue, include Yoga Basics, Yoga Strength, Restorative, Men’s Yoga, Older Adult Yoga, and Kid’s Yoga for ages 7 and up.

An experienced yoga instructor, Bobbi brings to Chestnut Hill Yoga over 20 years of training and teaching, both in the Philadelphia area and nationally. Bobbi’s yoga training is in the Viniyoga tradition of T.K.V. Desikachar, and emphasizes creative adaptations of Yoga poses to meet individuals’ needs.

For beginners: We tried the 1-hour restorative yoga class held at 4:30 each Thursday for $20, the drop-in rate. It’s a great way for chair warriors to reverse their crunched up shoulders and stretch out perma-folded hips and legs. Namaste.
