Program includes postures, breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques, all performed while sitting in a chair and standing.Instructor Barbara Levitt has been teaching yoga for 30 yrs & has taught people in their nineties. Classes at her studio, located at 8524 Germantown Avenue, include Yoga Basics, Yoga Strength, Restorative, Men’s Yoga, Older Adult Yoga, and Kid’s Yoga for ages 7 and up.

The boys of the Middle School at Chestnut Hill Academy practice their gamesmanship (chess, checkers, Sudoku, Scrabble, backgammon, and the like) with seniors as partners or adversaries. If you're a senior, call the Center for Enrichment at (215) 248-0180 to specify which game you'd like to play and whether you can commit to this free event every Thursday.

Bring your "brown bag" lunch to this free event for seniors (the Center provides dessert & beverages), then stay for a movie. The Nov. 10 movie is "Ghost" (Patrick Swayze, Whoopi Goldberg, and Demi Moore) and the Nov. 24 movie is "Changeling" (John Malkovich and Angelina Jolie; directed by Clint Eastwood).
