Golden Yoga is adapted to accommodate those who have difficulty getting up and down from the floor. Program includes postures, breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques, all performed while sitting in a chair and standing.Instructor Barbara Levitt has been teaching yoga for 30 yrs & has taught people in their nineties. Registration required. $20/4 classes.

With a full schedule of yoga classes that cater to just about every individual need in the community, Bobbi Tighe of Chestnut Hill Yoga will work to create a healthier, more balanced Chestnut Hill one student at a time. Classes at her studio, located at 8524 Germantown Avenue, include Yoga Basics, Yoga Strength, Restorative, Men’s Yoga, Older Adult Yoga, and Kid’s Yoga for ages 7 and up.

The boys of the Middle School at Chestnut Hill Academy practice their gamesmanship (chess, checkers, Sudoku, Scrabble, backgammon, and the like) with seniors as partners or adversaries.
