The weekend will be filled with panel discussions, author readings and signings, writer workshops, a soapbox corner, fiction and singer songwriter slams, and dramatic readings of famous literary passages by local actors. For kids there will be a costume parade led by a stilt man where kids dress as their favorite book character, a Cat in the Hat appearance, a Green Eggs & Ham Brunch, storytelling.

Shalonda (Shay) Sutton, is a young African American female designer with a vision that emanated from her love of poetry and her desire to be a good role for her brothers and sisters. Her designs are innovative and span the globe in terms focus and style. Renee Bolden Designs features custom women's clothing design from casual outfits.

Black Art and Sculptures. Philadelphia's premiere Artist Leon Dewitt Finney's extraordinary work is placed in the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Lucien Crump Art Gallery. He will be showcasing his work at Citibank in honor of Black History Month. Exhibiting with him will be the talented female sculptor, Stephanie Threet. Her work is derived from the rhythms of music and vibrations.
