Hey kids! Come make colorful whirling pinwheels to put in your garden or take to the beach. With an astonishing facility for color and form, textures and text, Sam Maitin became one of the most beloved and vital artists in Philadelphia. Known for his amazing ability with collage, and his brilliant poster design, this exhibition features 30 prints newly added to the Woodmere Permanent Collection.

Whether you are participating or appreciating, the annual Scarecrow design Contest at Morris Arboretum is pre-Halloween fun at it's best. See what the local artistry can do with some hay and their imagination. Scarecrows will be on display for 3 weeks and visitors of all ages can vote for their favorite to determine who will be the first place winner. See all details on the arboretum website.

Don’t miss this afternoon of autumn fun that has become an annual tradition for many families. Make your own scarecrow, paint a pumpkin, sample apples & cider. See a master falconer's birds of prey and demonstrate falconry. Other activities include a beekeeping demonstration and face painting. Some activities have an additional fee.
